Sierra began dancing at the age of 12 after being inspired by her cousin’s performance – and what started as one year of club jazz quickly grew into a lifelong passion. The following year, Sierra joined the competitive team, embracing the challenge and drive that dance offered. Since then, she has trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop, tap, and acro, completing her RAD Intermediate and a Dance in Society course at Northwestern Polytechnic.
For Sierra, dance is about growth and creativity. She loves the way it challenges her daily to be better than the day before, while also giving her a platform to express herself and share her artistry with others – whether in the studio, at home, or on stage. When she was offered the chance to teach at Ark, she knew it was the perfect way to channel her passion into something greater. What excites her most is being part of Ark’s warm, welcoming environment that allows children of all ages and abilities to discover the joy of dance.
Outside of the studio, Sierra’s creativity extends into many hobbies: reading, crafting, and playing instruments like piano, guitar, ukulele, and clarinet. She even enjoys writing her own songs. Sierra also has a unique background – she has a twin sister, works in youth ministry at her church, and once earned the title of “superior junior” at summer camp for her ability to handle anything thrown her way, including single-handedly managing a group of 8-10 kids.
With her mix of technical training, creativity, and care for others, Sierra brings passion and inspiration into every class she teaches, encouraging dancers to challenge themselves while always finding joy in the process.
