Our faculty is committed to helping your dancer foster a lifelong love of dance and self-care. Our mission is to develop dancers in mind, body and soul and each of our instructors are passionate and dedicated to helping students improve to reach their goals – both in and outside of the studio.

Certified Instructors

At Ark Dance Academy we offer quality dance education in a fun, positive, and nurturing environment. We offer the highest level of instruction, which means we deliver technical, safe and age-appropriate programming to your children. Our faculty is certified, or working towards certification, in many dance disciplines and are continuously increasing their knowledge and training. We hold certification and Registration in Ballet with the RAD – Royal Academy of Dance, we hold certification in Jazz, Tap, Modern & Acrobatic Dance with the CDTA – Canadian Dance Teachers Association, we are also hold certification with Acrobatic Art, mUvmethod, Sugar Foot Therapy, PBT – Progressing Ballet Technique, the Ballet Blog Teacher Training and have completed the Mental Skills Teacher Training with Lauren Ritchie.

Family Friendly

We are not just a dance studio, we are a community! We are an inclusive studio with a strong focus on family and lifelong friendships. Our hope is to grow and prepare our students for both inside and outside the studio.

Age Appropriate Classes

We are passionate about creating developmentally and age appropriate classes for all of our students. From technical skills to costumes to music we ensure your dancer is being trained and performs in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe it is important and healthy for children to just be children.

Small Class Sizes

Smaller class sizes give our students the space to move freely and receive more individualized attention from their teachers. This allows our teachers to focus on each student and offer them the support they need to learn, progress and help them to reach their full potential.

Examinations

All of our students have the option to partake in dance examinations. We currently offer Ballet exams with the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and Jazz and Tap exams with the CDTA (Canadian Dance Teachers Association). These opportunities are for the dancer who takes pride in their hard work and who wants to perfect their craft to receive National and International accreditation for their efforts. Examinations provide goal setting and time management skill sets along with increased technical achievement to your dancer.
