We absolutely love Ark Dance Academy. Our girls both adore dancing at this studio. It has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The teachers are wonderful. They inspire a love of dance while simultaneously helping improve dancer technique. We cannot say enough good things about Ark!

As a studio owner for over 20 years and the president of the CDTA AB Branch for many years, I had the opportunity to get to know both Lexi and Loanne. They are both dedicated dance teachers. They have made it a priority to be qualified instructors which give their students a chance to participate in exams. Ms Lexi and Ms Loanne are both really big reasons I am where I am today in my dance career and gave me an incredible foundation from where I could grow and develop my own artistry. They want the best out of their students as dancers and as people and push you in the best way to become that. Perseverance, teamwork, hard work and accountability were big things I took from my training with them. They are extremely knowledgeable not only in the art of teaching and dance, but in anatomy and how the body works which ensures safe and sustainable training for dancers of all ages. I will always cherish my years training with both of them and the skills they taught me that I carry throughout my life.

Both of our daughters have had the pleasure of stepping on stage, and moving to the beautiful choreography of both Loanne Walker and Alexis Wanotch. What has made this possible is the abundance of love, support and kindness which has helped them believe in themselves and their ability to express their love of dance. They have learned perseverance, teamwork, attention to detail and mutual respect for their fellow dancers, faculty and instructors. A focus on the fundamental components of dance through proper technique with attention to the health, and safety of each dancer has given them a solid foundation on which to build future dance experiences and a love of all aspects of dance. We appreciate the training and continuing education both teachers pursue in the interest of constantly improving the experience they bring to their dancers. Our daughters have worked with Miss Loanne and Miss Alexis from the age of 5, and they have been an integral part of not only their competitive and recreational dance experience, but their development into young women who have a strong work ethic, integrity and drive to do their best. We are delighted to welcome The Ark Academy to our dance community, and wish Miss Lexi and Miss Loanne the very best as they embark on their new endeavour.

Loanne and Lexi are both amazing dance teachers! They both have taught our daughter for the last 10 years and we couldn’t be any happier about it! As parents we knew dance would teach her hard work and commitment, but the energy that Loanne and Lexi pour into their teaching has also taught her passion and persistence.
