Meilea started dancing at just 4 years old, and 14 years later, that early spark has grown into a lifelong passion. Over the years she has trained extensively in Jazz, Tap, and Ballet, completing her CDTA exams in Jazz and Tap and her RAD exams in Ballet along the way.
For Meilea, dance has always been about freedom – “I love being able to express myself without using words. It makes me feel free!” That love for movement and connection is what drew her to teaching, and now after years with Ark, she especially loves passing on her own tips and tricks to her students. What keeps her here is the studio’s warm, familial atmosphere, which she says makes Ark feel like home.
Outside of the studio, Meilea’s creativity carries over into music and art. She plays guitar, sings, paints, and draws, and is even part of a pop/rock band. She’s a self-proclaimed lemonade-over-coffee person.
With her mix of technical training, warmth, and love of self-expression, Meilea brings energy and encouragement into every class. Her passion is helping her students find their own voice through dance.
